What are the possible penalties?

Criminal Law

The penalties could include probation, fines or incarceration in the state prison system. For first degree murder, the State may impose the death penalty. The length of incarceration, if imposed, may range from 366 days to life imprisonment, depending on the crime, your record and the circumstances of the case. Some charges, such as the use of a gun during another crime, may have a mandatory minimum time to which you will be sentenced. A person convicted of a felony may lose the right to vote, serve on a jury, or carry a firearm.
