What happens to my children if I am deployed?
Military Law
Just because you are in the military, and even when deployed, you do not lose your rights to parent and see your children. Contact may be arranged on leaves, and when you return from deployment. If you have custody or residence of your children and are deployed, Florida law provides that your children are returned to your care at the end of your deployment. Your temporary absence because of your commitments to your country will not cause you to lose custody of your children.
