What is custody?

Florida does not have “custody”. In most cases, both parents have the opportunity to remain active with the children, and both parents spend time with the children. In Florida, you will create a Parenting Plan that will decide important matters such as decision making, education, religious upbringing, timesharing with the other parent, child support, health insurance and other issues for your children.
